Debt collection is an unpleasant reality for virtually every franchise, whether it’s the collection of past-due royalties, or amounts due for goods or services. Sometimes, it’s much more than that: the commencement of a legal action to obtain possession of premises, to obtain a judgement, or to appoint a receiver over the property of a franchisee or distributor.
